Bio

I have an MFA in Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design & a BFA in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I enjoy collecting antiques, old books, and mysterious, discarded objects. A love of history and tradition inspires a classical, often romantic style in my work. I am an in illustrator and designer interested in the relationship between craft and concept.

Style

My recent works explore the duality that forms between the digital and the handmade as a way of reconciling the past and the present within myself. I believe a skillful handling of medium facilities a deeper relationship with content. My work exists at the intersection between religion and science - it is deeply rooted in the doctrinal traditions of my bookmaking craft and yet it embraces change, reason, and biology.
